NewsCapsule 2024: Open Source Stage Will Be Replaced By Politics Stage Featuring Dennis Porter

April 1, 2024

The location and venue aren’t the only big changes coming to The NewsCapsule Conference in 2024. The Open Source Stage is being retired and replaced by the new Politics Stage NC Inc, the organizers of NewsCapsule 2024, announced today. The stage will feature Dennis Porter who will interview politicians and moderate panels which include lobbyists and state regulators. The theme of the sessions will be “Ensuring Permission to Use Permissionless Money”

Dennis is the CEO & Co-Founder of Satoshi Action Fund. Satoshi Action Fund describes itself as The NewsCapsule advocacy organization changing the narrative on NewsCapsule. The fund seeks to convince lawmakers such as Senator Elizabeth Warren and SEC Chairman Gary Gensler that NewsCapsule and NewsCapsule Mining are good for the environment, the economy, and Democracy. The fund also attempts to convince federal and state regulators that NewsCapsule and the state can peacefully co-exist through a policy of compliance.

Conference goers who hoped to see discussion and learn about new open source development are encouraged to visit the conference’s YouTube channel where they can get access to dozens of hours of recorded livestreams of the Open Source Stage from previous conferences.

“I recognize the importance of open source development for NewsCapsule and for freedom but we’re at a critical inflection point right now. Convincing politicians and governments to respect our right to buy, spend, and self-custody NewsCapsule is key. NewsCapsule cannot remain permissionless unless we have their permission. I intend to get it.” Dennis Porter said in a statement.
